King's Lynn Birthplace Capt.Vancouver

King's Lynn is a sea port and market town in the ceremonial county of Norfolk in the East of England. It is situated 97 miles (156 km) north of London and 44 miles (71 km) west of Norwich.
In April 1792 Lynn’s most famous son, Captain George Vancouver’s ship Discovery beat a convoy of American ships to the northwest coast of America to declare the land as “British Columbia”.
